CPCCWHS2001 – Apply WHS Requirements, Policies and Procedures in the Construction Industry

Course Description

This course applies to workers in the construction industry. It covers fundamental WHS requirements necessary to undertake work tasks within any sector in the construction industry. It is now a mandatory requirement for all trainers who deliver the White Card Course (CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry) to hold this particular unit. (Please note: This is not a White Card course.)

Through video evidence, students are required to demonstrate safe work practices, awareness of risks, planning and performing safe work, and providing emergency first aid treatment for minor injuries. Certificates issued by Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909.

Units Being Delivered

The following nationally recognised unit will be awarded upon successful completion:

  • CPCCWHS2001 – Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry

Course Delivery

This course is delivered fully online.

Course Duration

The online learning and assessment is expected to take approximately 8 hours to complete. Timeframes may vary depending on experience. Students must complete the course within six (6) months of enrolment.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for entry, students must:

  • Verify their identity by showing photo ID on camera and stating their full name.
  • Demonstrate LLND skills appropriate to the course, including reading, writing, oral communication, numeracy, and digital literacy.
  • Have access to a device with camera and audio recording capabilities for video assessments.
  • Provide access to a real or simulated worksite, tools, equipment, PPE, and a basic first aid kit.
Assessment Activities

Practical assessments (video uploads):

  • Correct wearing and fitting of PPE
  • Verbal risk report
  • Risk assessment and safe work area setup
  • Safe work practices and tool use
  • Emergency response and evacuation
  • Provide emergency first aid for a minor injury

Documentation:

Theory assessment: Case studies, short answers, and multiple‑choice questions.

Important: Students must be able to record video evidence. If unable to meet this requirement, enrolment should be postponed.
